Toast is not bread and bread is not toast. Toast it! Only a few seconds in the pan adds great texture and flavor.

Ingredients

  • Bread, your fav - 4 slices

  • Olive Oil - 1/4 C / 50 g

  • Garlic - 3 cloves

  • Water - 8 oz / 225 g

  • Broccoli Florette - 6 oz / 170 g

  • Salt - 1 tsp / 5 g

  • Lemon - 1 

  • Cheddar, your fav - 4 oz / 110 g

Steps

1. TURN ON BURNER: MED HEAT
2. Add oil, bread. Toast both sides. Reserve.
3. Add oil, garlic, broccoli, salt
4. Cook 1-2 min. Stir
5. Add water. Steam until water gone and broccoli can crisp in bottom of pan.
6. Squeeze 1/2 lemon, cheddar over broc. Stir
7. Cook until melted
8. Spoon over toast
